Counselling Focused on Real Recovery

I specialize in a focused set of challenges — trauma after accidents, men's emotional health, relationship stress, and nervous system recovery. This isn't a general wellness clinic. It's specialized support for specific, real struggles.

You Might Be Feeling…

These are some of the most common things people describe when they first reach out. You don't have to carry everything alone. Many people come to counselling feeling exhausted from constantly managing stress, anxiety, relationship tension, or the pressure to keep everything together. If any of these resonate, you are not alone — and they are all things that counselling can genuinely help with.

Constantly on edgeLike something bad is about to happen, even when you're safe
Emotionally exhaustedRunning on empty, carrying more than your share
DisconnectedGoing through the motions but not really present — in life or in your relationship
Anxious behind the wheelPanic, tension, or dread every time you get in a car
Emotionally shut downNumb, flat, or unable to feel much of anything
Relationship tensionWalking on eggshells, or feeling emotionally distant from someone you love
Stuck in survival modeManaging each day but never really feeling settled or like yourself
Overthinking at nightA mind that won't slow down, no matter how tired you are
Carrying it aloneHolding everything together on the outside while quietly struggling inside
Losing confidenceFeeling less like yourself — unsure, unsteady, or disconnected from who you used to be
Irritable and reactiveSnapping at people you care about, and not understanding why
BurnoutExhausted by the pressure to stay strong, stay functional, and keep it all together

You Don't Have to Keep
Carrying This Alone

Many people come to counselling feeling exhausted — from constantly managing stress, anxiety, relationship tension, or the quiet pressure to keep everything together. Sometimes the hardest part isn't the problem itself. It's the weight of carrying it alone, day after day, without a space to actually set it down.

Counselling offers a calm, supportive space to better understand what's happening — to slow things down, rebuild confidence, and find your footing again. Whether you're navigating trauma, relationship stress, emotional burnout, or anxiety that never fully shuts off — you don't have to figure it out on your own.

A Counsellor Who Gets It

Hi, I'm Dave Dyck — a counsellor, listener, and your partner in finding your way back to yourself beneath life's pressures, pain, and emotional weight. I hold a Master of Counselling (MC) and am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), registered with the CCPA.

I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma after accidents, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, men's mental health, and relationships under stress. My approach is grounded, practical, and emotionally attuned — whether you are a man who has never tried counselling before, a woman who feels emotionally exhausted, or a couple who has slowly drifted apart. When you work with me, you work with me — not whoever happens to be available. Every session.

Sessions are practical, grounded, and focused on real change. This is a space where you can speak honestly — without judgment — and begin to feel more like yourself again.

What Clients Are Saying

★★★★★

I was in an accident last year and ICBC recommended I seek counselling. I don't think I needed it but soon realized I did. I can't begin to express how patient, understanding and wonderful Dave was. He helped me realize that you can only control what you can control. Something I tell myself everyday. Thank you so much Dave!
